Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt returned to the Olympic Stadium with an astounding 9.85secs finish in the 100m at London IAAF Diamond League, branded the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games on Friday.
Bolt’s
season-long penchant for a reserved entrance had him arrive on a
drivable rocket engine. Three hours later, the legendary Jamaican
struggled to get off his block as against the fire-spitting noise of his
entrance in what he described as a ‘horrifying’ start.
His
reaction time of 0.175 and his pick up left him behind the
fast-starting Kim Collins, but halfway through the sprint; the big man
came storming through while others fell back. His flying finish took him
across the line in 9.85secs.
